Our Beliefs

The purpose of this page is to give you an idea of where we stand on some basic principles. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us at barnonecc@gmail.com

The Bible – Written by man, inspired by God, perfect with no mistakes. The Bible is God’s book of divine instruction and absolute truth.

Only One True God – He is living, all-powerful, and all knowing.

Jesus is the Son of God – Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.

Holy Spirit – Sent by God to guide us, enable us to understand scripture, and convict us of sin.

Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

God sent his Son to die for our sins – The only way to have a relationship with God and to have a place in heaven is to believe Jesus Christ as your own personal savior. You must repent of your sins and believe in Him. Jesus was crucified, he died, and he was buried. On the third day he rose from the dead and went to heaven. He now sits at the right hand of God. There will be a judgment day when everyone on earth, living and dead, is judged. Christ will come back to set up his kingdom on earth. Only those who believe in Christ will be saved.

Salvation – Free gift we all need — Romans 3:23 “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Baptism – Act of obedience and public confession of Christ.

Lord’s Supper – Open table – helps keep the memory of what Christ did for us alive for all generations. Helps us to continue to anticipate his coming.

Missions – It is a duty and privilege of Christians to participate in telling others about Christ through our actions, our words and our giving.
